University Facilities and Resources
The University of Montana has a wide array of resources
available for student use. Students have access to library,
computer, archival, and other departmental collections to enhance
their studies.

University of Montana Mansfield Library
The University of Montana Mansfield Library houses an
extensive collection of anthropological monographs, journals, and reports
from the four subdisciplines of anthropology. In addition, there
is an extensive collection of primary and secondary sources about
Native Americans. The Mansfield Library also is a regional center
for housing United States government documents. The anthropological
collection continues to grow to meet the changing scholarly climate
in anthropology.

Instructional Media Services
The Instructional Media Services (IMS) archives films, slides,
tapes, maps, and other audio and visual material. IMS has a
viewing room as well as rental capabilities. Tape recorders, video
equipment, and other items to assist students in their research and
classroom activities are available.

University Art Collections
The University art collection contains items from around the
world. These collections belong to the University of Montana and can be
made available to anthropology students for research or study.

University Computer Centers
The University of Montana maintains a number of computer
laboratories across campus. These facilities are available to
students for their research. One of these facilities is located
adjacent to the department.
