 12 credits in elective classes numbered 300-589, 595-596, or in rare cases 600-694. (Only 6cr in classes numbered 300-399)

Background Classes Required for All Students in the Forensic Anthropology Option.
These classes may have been taken previously as an undergraduate.
Most of these classes may be used as electives. For those that may not be used as electives because they are too low level (U not UG or G), Graduate Students may enroll in ANTH 496 or 596, complete the requirements of the class plus a substantive additional component for Grad Students, and receive credit in 496 or 596.
 ANTH 466 Archaeological Survey, ANTH 413 Forensic & Mortuary Archaeology,or any substantial archaeological field experience whether taken for credit or not.
 ANTH 401 Anthropology Data Analysis, or any class in statistics. It is strongly recommended that you take ANTH402 Advanced Anthropological Statistics.
 ANTH 450 Archaeological Theory, or any class in archaeological theory.
 ANTH 310 Human Variation, or any class in human variation or anthropological genetics.
 ANTH 286 Survey of the Forensic Sciences, ANTH 488 Forensic Science & Technology, or any class in general forensic science.
 ANTH 314 Principles of Forensic Anthro, or any primarily lecture class in forensic anthro.
 ANTH 412 Osteology, or any primarily laboratory class in analyzing human skeletal remains.
