MALOUF, Carling (Retired)

Professor Malouf is a North American ethnologist. He has done field research with the Gosiutes of Utah, the Salish of Montana, and numerous other Native American peoples throughout the greater Northwest. Dr. Malouf has far ranging interests from archaeology to comparative ethnology. He earned the Ph.D. degree from Columbia University in 1956. He is retired now, but he occasionally stops by the department to visit, and he occasionally serves on graduate thesis committees.
